It is believed that Turpie approached the ACCC of his own accord.
The ACCC is seeking court orders for an injunction preventing the AMI, Mr Somerset and Turpie from similar conduct in the future, corrective newspaper advertisements. It is also seeking an order that Turpie attend a trade practices compliance seminar.
